Mobley's Spring Style

The season is changing and your attire Should also. I enjoy the cooler weather, because it allows me to dress in my favorite fashions. When March comes in Texas, its time to put away the p coat. I'll let you guys in on my personal fashions of Spring 09. I believe the common fashions of this spring will be more classic with fresh colors. Dark violets, deep rose red, and darker shades of green will be trendy.
Shirts
It's not necessary to box up the long sleeves. When purchasing a top with long sleeves, chose fabrics that are light weight and breath well. For today’s fashions, the common undershirt is not needed as frequent. Both of these styles are displayed in the picture of Ryan Leslie below.

Jeans
Dark wash jeans with light distress are a good choice . They are versatile and classic. 7 For All Mankind has a nice selection for a reasonable price. The Gap and Banana Republic also have nice looks at affordable prices. For those with deeper pockets, Rock & Republic, Rock Revival, and True Religion are good choices.

Shoes and Accessories
Canvas shoes are versatile and allow you to go from mall to club without losing. There are different styles and different prices. There’s the classic Chuck Taylor, on the low end. On the high end, Creative Recreation has a great selection. The Creative Recreation Cesario is my personal favorite.

A watch with brown leather band and a simple neck piece are all the accessories you'll need.

Style Tips
Men, please try on your clothes before you purchase them. I believe the most prominent problem with the way men dress is the fit of their clothing. No matter what style, brand, or color you wear, if the clothes don't fit well they won't look good. Also, don't be afraid to have your signature. Having a special accessory, color, or style that you wear frequently can set you apart from the norm.

Be Mine

This weekend is one that many people look forward to all year. It is also one that many people dread each year. Valentines Day will be different for me this year. For the first time since high school, I am completely single on V-Day. As of now, it doesn't bother me and I don't think it will. On the other hand, it does bother most single women. In my experience, many women feel that if they don’t have a Valentine it's because they aren’t desirable. This is not true at all. Most men are afraid of rejection and will not ask out a woman that they believe will reject them. I believe there is no problem with a woman asking a man to be her Valentine. I have been asked by women on multiple occasions and it always gives me a higher level of respect for them. It takes a lot of courage for a woman to do so.
Making the day special, without breaking the bank, is something that men struggle with each year. There are numerous things you can do to make the day unique. Take your valentine to a place they have never been before. I suggest places quite and intimate. The Arboretum, Museum, and Opera are wonderful. If you're looking for something a little more contemporary, the Wax museum is a lot of fun. For new couples, it will give you a lot of material for future discussion. Your date will remember and cherish the activities of the day more than the actual gifts. Unless you have diamonds, lol. No matter what you do, be safe and have fun

Bobby V.

Also today, Bobby Valentino released his third album The Rebirth. I get mixed feelings from it, at first listen. I get the feeling that this will be one of those that grow on you accidentally. I have been a fan of Valentino since his first single. He always gives us a couple hits. The single Beep is definitely one. Am i the only one that thinks beep was not the original lyric? I'm not sure if he'll have a second hit with this one; Though I do enjoy the remake of Just Me and You. He had the assistance of Raphael Saadiq to recreate the hit. Take a listen for yourself.

Mr. Leslie

Today months of waiting came to an end for me. Ryan Leslie’s, self titiled, Debut Album dropped. He is one of the most gifted music producers in the industry. The complexity of his music is astounding and people of any age group and culture can enjoy it in that sense. I give the album 5 out of 5 stars. The track "Valentine" is a wonderful selection for young love and you may get points for playing it This weekend. Enjoy it; I do.

Season of the Numbers

The NFL season has come to an end. Maybe for most. My favorite part of the year is taking front stage now. I love the combine and all the activities that come with it. Right now the scouts are diving into film and stats. In a couple of months they will have numbers to go with them. These 40 times, bench press reps, heights, and weights will have a great impact on the draft positions. I will be posting my predictions on the draft and how I think these players will do as rookies and vets.

At this moment I can promise you a couple of things. One, There will be a tailback from a less noticeable school that gets drafted high and will be more of a threat in the NFL than he was in college. This trend has been carried by players like Matt Forte of Tulane, Tim Hightower of Richmond, and Chris Johnson of East Carolina this year. In previous years Brandon Jacobs and the rest of the "Earth, Wind and, Fire" crew also fit this mold. This year i believe Andre Brown from NC State will have that designation. He is big (6' 224 lbs.) and has very quick feet. He put on a great show at the senior bowl. there will also be a corner taken high that has little experience or comes from a small school. There are a couple guys that will fit this mold. Coye Francies of San Jose State and Domonique Johnson of Jackson State have great frames and great speed. If they run below 4.42 at the combine, they will go in rounds 1 and 2. As a corner myself, i have studied their games and technique. I believe they will do well on some of the taller WR of the NFL.

I could go on for days about this and I will in future post. Stay tuned for more of my draft and rookie predictions.

Insource America

This week is an exciting time for everyone in the political community. The week started with our president speaking on the recent developments within the federal gov. At first glance, It seems as if there are some creative techniques that will be implemented to boost and stabilize our economy.

There are many ways we may strengthen our economy. One I feel strongly about is placing a halt on outsourcing American jobs. Some reports state that nearly 3 million jobs have been outsourced since 2001. This is a trend that will accelerate due to the fact that these companies are worried about there bottom line and not about the country as a whole. I believe that if we place increase the taxes, on the funds that each company spends on outsourcing, we will see these jobs slowly move back to our soil. The immediate effect will be the halt in outsourcing.

Throughout out countries history, we have used taxing to make sure we maintain our industrial strength. This tactic is used in agriculture with certain metal production and in the auto industry. Other countries are finding more ways to obtain American jobs and will continue to do so. Indians have started to prepare American taxes. We can't blame them for doing so, but protecting our economy is the most important struggle we have.
